Day 2 - More Cosplay Stuff

More cosplay sketches came and went. Towards the end, the annual favorites, Bakazoku and the new favorite, Slightly Anime, were hilarious as usual.

Day 2 - Cosplay Intermission and Finale

During the intermission, we were treated to a stage fighting demonstration from Dreamcatchers Studio. They also showed off an interesting demostration of voice acting both pre-recorded and live. And on top of that, we even got a short musical number. Now I wish I'd attended their panel earlier. Hope they come back next year.

After the intermission started running long, Mark had to come back on stage and entertain the crowd a little longer. The audience had him doing lots of silly dancing and singing and eventually, he was the target of a double glomp attack. Eventually, the judges made their decision and the awards were handed to the winners.

148 Here's the Dreamcatchers Studio students dancing to "Change the World", the first opening theme from InuYasha. It was a pretty cool musical number too. Well choreographed. "Firefoot" is one of the dancers on stage.

149 Mark got put through the wringer by the audience. Here, they have him (if I remember correctly) making out with himself. They also got him to do the chicken dance and other odd stuff.

150 I wish I'd been faster on the draw with my camera. Here is Mark right after the two girls next to him had rushed the stage and glomped him. Wish I'd have snapped the live glomp.

151 Here's all the cosplayers after the awards were handed out. I find this pic particularly amusing because if you'll notice (and I swear this was completely unintentional - total fluke), the Cosplay coordinator in front looks like he just farted 'cause the person behind him is holding the big "POOF" bubble in exactly the right spot.

Day 2 - Ferquin Gets Fevered

During the Cosplay intermission, I was getting cold chills. Literally. I don't know what happened. But somehow, I developed a fever. When Cosplay was over, I was totally lightheaded and probably delirious. I wanted to stick around longer to snap the cosplayers like usually do, but I was also really hungry on top of being seriously ill (it's quite rare for me to be sick) so I kinda staggered out to get some grub and eventually went back to my room.

That was it. I was pretty much bedridden for the rest of the night so I was forced to miss out on a lot of cool events, not to mention the Saturday night dance, one of the other high points of the con that I was so waiting for. However, in my fevered haze, I somehow still managed to take a few more pics before calling it a night. Still sucked to be me though.
