Day 3 - Sunday Morning Weariness

I had managed to get myself medicated and was able to break the previous night's fever. But I was still left with sore, achy joints. It hurt to walk around but I was determined not to miss out on any more of the con. I headed out early to get in line for the Fashion Show and snapped plenty of photos to make up for last night. Unfortunately, more bad luck struck and my supposedly unbreakable glasses broke. The titanium ear piece snapped off while I was talking with a friend and I was completely embarrassed. And on top of that, I hadn't packed my spare glasses and the only prescription lenses were my ugly sunglasses I keep in my car. So I was forced to walk around in my ugly sunglasses looking even more like a dork than I usually do. But at least I got lots of good pics. Unfortunately, for some reason, a lot of what I snapped didn't show up on my SmartMedia card. I was to find out why very soon.

Day 3 - The Fashion Show

I finally get into the Fashion Show and was even allowed to get a good seat near the runway. Then my camera started to crap out. In my haste to get to the Fashion Show, I forgot to change out the batteries in my camera. So basically, a lot of shots that I snapped were ruined because either they took too long to snap or write to the media card and missed the subject entirely, or the camera wouldn't snap at all. But, I managed to pace myself and was able to compensate for the lag and I still came out with quite a few good shots, although not as many as I would have liked.
