Ten years of Sakura Con was celebrated this weekend. But to be precise, this was actually the ninth convention since the first Baka!-Con (the original name of the convention) wasn't until 1998. But yeah, the idea of Baka!-Con (which later became Sakura Con in 2000) initially started in 1997. Aw, but who cares about those little details? It was a pretty kick-ass convention this year! Lots of great guests, lots of fun, good times! I'll admit, I didn't take nearly as many pictures this year because I was just having way too much fun. I even decided to join in on some of the photos as well. The second year at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center was a well-oiled machine. Security was improved, lines weren't too long, and for the most part, panels were on time. There were some unfortunate schedule changes, but overall, it was run pretty well this year. The quality of costumes has dramatically increased from previous years so kudos to all the really great cosplayers this year! I can't wait for 2008! Here's to another decade of Sakura Con and more! Page Nine - Saturday Night / Sunday Morning - Slept in, but got lots of pictures! Page Ten - Sunday Afternoon! - 10 Pages? 10 Years? What a coincidence!
